Illumio and Microsoft Security Graph
Microsoft Security Graph (MSG) is a tool that consolidates various security data sources into a unified security graph. The company gathers data from cloud sources, such as Microsoft Sentinel, containing user details, threat intelligence, and vulnerabilities. Microsoft partners with vendors like Illumio to enhance the Security Graph.
Microsoft integrates resource-centered data from Illumio Insights, including information on risky traffic, malicious IPs, and shadow LLMs linked to specific resources. Illumio aggregates data based on resource IDs instead of only focusing on flow data, sending this enriched data to Microsoft. Illumio transmits Insights data captured from the last 15 minutes, which is then accessed by a connector within MSG.
