What's New in 5.10.0
Here's a summary of the new and enhanced features in this release.
Cilium CNI Plugin Support
Illumio is now compatible with Cilium-based Kubernetes clusters. This update allows you to manage Illumio policies on Cilium-backed nodes while maintaining Illumio's standard enforcement model.
Important
CVEN does not program Cilium for segmentation—this is the same model that is used by all other CNIs previously supported by Illumio.
Note
When Cilium runs with kube-proxy-replacement=true, enforcement for NodePort and LoadBalancer services will not work.
IPVS support for Flannel CNI and ClusterIP Services
IPVS for Kubeproxy now supports the Flannel CNI and ClusterIP services, enabling high-performance, kernel-level load balancing for large or rapidly changing clusters.
Kubelink support bundle XZ compression
Kubelink now uses an XZ compression algorithm to make the support bundle files smaller, allowing the capture of more debugging information.
